Description

After finishing a pleasant breakfast at the Wayra Lodge (Huayraccmachay), we begin our hike downhill along the Río Huayraccmachay through scenery that becomes increasingly greener.

Collpa Lodge is in Collpapampa, at 9,414 feet (2,870 m) above sea level – an open promontory at the confluence of three rivers. The open-air jacuzzi at this lodge offers a notable panorama of mountains with exuberant vegetation and a small remote village.

The groups spend one night at this lodge and the next day, after breakfast, they begin the hike to Lucma Lodge.

Mountain Lodges of Peru, the company that manages the lodge, offers you one of the finest adventures: an opportunity to experience the essence of adventure within the confines of land-based comfort.

Mountain Lodges of Peru believes that a great adventure must be experienced on several levels, which is why we go beyond comfortable lodging and important hikes - we offer a unique opportunity to experience the ancient history of the Land of the Incas, detailed contemporary manifestations of the Incan culture, the most interesting and varied flora and exotic fauna, gastronomic surprises, the determination of the local people to move forward, new friends, and kindred souls.

  • Raising the educational level of more than 150 families in the area.
  • Offering incentives to the local population, so that they take an active role in the tourism development of the area.
