Sloth - photo by Tirimbina Rainforest Center

Did you know the sloth is the slowest moving mammal on the planet? They're so slow that algae grows on their fur, which helps to camouflage them in the forest canopy. This sweet pair of two-toed sloths was captured on the move, touring the Tirimbina Rainforest Center, located in Sarapiquí, Costa Rica. The sloth is one of the 120 species of mammals that can be found in the Center's 853-acre private wildlife refuge, which is also home to 300 species of birds.
