Description

Unique Adventures Costa Rica is an inbound travel agency offering creative and relevant services to its clients, within a strong commitment to its staff, the communities it visits, ecological richness, and sustainable development practices.

Our business began in May 2006 and since then we have organized unique, complete itineraries that include reception at the airport, hotel reservations, tours, private multilingual guides with broad experience, optional transportation, and more.

We offer special adventures that are tailor-made for our clients and we give each one an opportunity to be part of our social and natural setting, as a conscious visitor rather than a simple tourist.

We design programs that include visits to the best destinations in the country including forests, beaches, volcanoes, or national parks, without ignoring the cultural aspects, history, and folklore of the rural communities. We also have suitable options for all budgets and interests, with specialty packages for bird-watching, ecotourism, adventure and sports tourism, honeymoon packages, community tourism, family trips, health and wellness tourism, and programs for students.

Making a Difference

Number of employees: 3

Unique Adventures has a sustainability policy based on our clear mission to support sustainable tourism, which we share with our partners, providers, and clients. We work together to reduce any negative environmental impact our operation might cause and to strengthen its positive social, cultural, and economic impacts.

We belong to organizations such as Paniamor, Friends of the National Parks, Friends of Climate Change, and Sustainable Travel International, and we support their efforts and mandates.

We support and participate in local programs for reforestation, trash collection, recycling, and training and support for community artists and artisans. We also help collect donations for these initiatives and primarily for institutions that help children of low income families.

We are convinced that we can make a difference by practicing our values. Our commitment is:

  • To our natural resources: responsibly sharing them with our clients without degrading them for future generations.
  • To our people: knowing them and respecting their idiosyncrasies without affecting their roots and seeking solidarity with their socioeconomic and cultural needs.
  • To our children: protecting them from sexual exploitation and strengthening their education.
  • To our clients: offering them unique, tailor-made programs, in a cordial setting creating bonds of trust and friendship that surpass language and cultural differences.
  • And to our planet: by teaching that if we all do our part, we can continue to enjoy the beauty it offers us.
