Another special feature is the very warm and friendly staff.
Popular activities nearby include visiting the Altun Ha Mayan site, visiting the Belize Zoo with our famous tapir, and tubing through a series of caves while gazing at stalagmites and stalactites. The hotel is two hours away from the second longest barrier reef in the Western Hemisphere, and two hours away from most North American airline hubs.

At the Radisson Fort George Hotel and Marina, we maintain a connection with our local community. Our recycled soaps, shampoo, and conditioner are donated to needy families and schools; each year, funds from employees fundraising go to organizations such as the Belize Cancer Society, Belize Red Cross, and Living With Hope. Liberty Children’s Home in Ladyville remains our signature committed obligation. The Radisson Fort George invites all guests to contribute $1 US per night which is then matched, by the hotel. The hotel also contributes in-kind donations to various organizations throughout the year.
We support local community-based organizations by utilizing the tours they offer and using the guides in those surrounding communities. We speak with guests who visit these areas about respecting and not removing the local flora and fauna from the areas.
100% of the hotel's employees are from the local community. We realize that hiring and training personnel is the key to fostering community involvement and integration. Engaged employees are the success of any operation and continuous investment in their skill base maintains that engagement.
