Hacienda Hato Verde is located in the Cotopaxi province, just a few minutes away from the main entrance to the Cotopaxi National Park with a view of the volcanoes.
In the surrounding area, there are many important tourist attractions such as the markets and indigenous groups of Saquisilí, Latacunga, Pujilí, and Ambato, and the picturesque lagoons of Yambo, Anteojos, and Quilotoa.
Hato Verde is part of an old cattle ranch and maintains the original style of the old house. The Mora Bowen family, experts on the history and tradition of fine cuisine, excellent hospitality, and Bon Vivants by definition, are the original owners of the hacienda. Their expertise in making guests feel welcome enables those who stay there to share the exceptional lifestyle that the family enjoys.
Visitors can enjoy the kitchen's traditional wood oven, perfect for baking homemade bread and pizzas.
10 luxurious rooms, each with a private bathroom and fireplace. The meticulous design employed in each room includes extremely comfortable beds with goose-feather pillows and duvets, which increase the sense of well-being in the rooms and will guarantee you a good night's sleep.

Hato Verde is a dairy farm, and we use local workers to keep our 86 acres (35 hectares) of pastures well-cared for. Our dairy products are sold locally for the artisanal production of other dairy products; it is also used to make cheeses, butter, cream, and sour cream to be consumed by the guests and inhabitants of the hacienda.
The hacienda has an insecticide-free vegetable garden to supply our kitchen.
Approximately 5,000 trees are planted every six months to protect the environment and provide habitat for the birds that live on the property.
We have created schedules for water and electricity consumption in order to reduce usage. We also recommend that our guests have their sheets and towels laundered less often to reduce water consumption.
Visits are made to nearby communities to develop good relationships with them.
