Description
Surround yourself with magic!
Learn about the outstanding aspects of the history and development of the Zapotec people. Discover the magic and characteristic warmth and charm that leads people to call us the "Magic People of Mexico."
In the area you can also:
- Visit Arollo Arroyo Cave:
Explore the grottoes of Arroyo Cave in a limestone outcropping. Inside, you can admire the caprices of nature that gave rise to different rock shapes, from the head of a rhinoceros to a ring of rock, and impressive stalactites and stalagmites. You’ll feel the adrenaline as you descend and climb three stairways to reach each one of the grottoes’ levels. During the trip, you can admire encino pine forests with bromeliads, ferns, fungi and of course, birds.
- Visit the “Y”:
If you like to be in direct contact with nature, this trip is the best option, either walking or by bicycle. You can enjoy beautiful landscapes and admire an enormous variety of flowers including orchids and bromeliads. With a bit of luck, you may be surprised by a rabbit or a deer, and at the end of the trip you reach a stream where you can sit down, feel the tranquility, and taste the rich spring water.
- Visit Los Molinos Recreation Center:
On the banks of Los Molinos River, you will find a place to have fun and go on adventures, or you can simply sit down in the shade of a tree and listen to the singing birds and the gentle murmuring of the river while your children enjoy themselves at the playground.
- Extreme sports:
Experience 13 seconds of a pure adrenaline rush on 328 feet (100 meters) of rock climbing at an average height of 100 feet (30 meters). Walk across our hanging bridge, and at the end you will still feel your legs wobbling. Rappel down a 115-foot (35-meter) natural wall with instructions from our specialized personnel, or go climbing in the same area on any of our four routes.
