Not only do we offer all the pleasures of a Pacific beach (surfing, kayaking, and more), you can also enjoy the enchantment of the ecosystem in the Isla Juan Venado Nature Reserve (mangroves, wildlife, and more), located right by the mouth of the river, a very safe place for swimming.

You can switch from the tranquility of our hammocks, massage services, and local tourism activities to the advantages of the rich university city life of León, only 12 miles (20 km) away.

Rooms

6 rooms and 4 cabins.

Our rooms are large, cool, and comfortable. We have double, single, and quadruple rooms with private baths.

Our four ecological cabins are built using a combination of bamboo, lumber, and palm, and they can lodge up to four people.

We are deeply involved in the community life of Las Peñitas and we support health and beach clean-up activities. We also organize campaigns to neuter dogs and cats twice a year and thanks to this, we have achieved a notable reduction in stray animals on the streets.

• Rooms: from $7 to $30.
• Cabin: $25 per night.

Getting There

Nearest international airport: Managua (MGA)

Nearest local/national airport: León (MNLN)

Travel time to nearest airport: 20 minutes

The access road to Las Peñitas is in perfect condition for any kind of vehicle, any time of year.

From León you can take a taxi (15 minutes) or take a bus from the Mercadito de Sutiava to Las Peñitas; the trip takes 30 minutes and you are dropped off in front of the hotel. Do not get off in Poneloya.

The hostel and the restaurant are open every day all year.
