There is white and black sand, and the waters are good for swimming and surfing. At one of the nearby beaches, Ostional, you can witness the wonderful “arribadas” or mass arrivals of nesting olive ridley sea turtles (Lepidochelys olivacea). You can also hike in the lush Ostional Wildlife Refuge and its surroundings.

For example, we have supported programs to improve local schools and help them get Blue Flag certification as well as the development of the community recycling center. We also support the promotion of local history, culture, and art by sponsoring educational events and providing environmental education to local inhabitants. The hotel is also used by civic, sustainability, and recycling associations.
