Description

Casa Mexicana de la Ballena Gris consists of a group of 90 producers from the states of Guanajuato, Jalisco, and Zacatecas. We form the Benito Juarez Ejido New Town Center, located 2 miles (3 km) from the San Ignacio–Guerrero Negro Highway in the state of Baja California Sur.

Mexican by birth, the gray whale (Eschrichtius robustus) makes one of nature’s most spectacular migrations. At Casa Mexicana de la Ballena Gris, we offer an opportunity to experience these impressive giants up close in the Ojo de Liebre Lagoon.

In addition to appreciating magnificent gray whales in Ojo de Liebre Lagoon, you can see a large number of migratory and resident birds nesting in wetlands of great importance during the winter season. The area has been designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Nearby is the town of Guerrero Negro, where you can visit the Salt Exporting Company. Traveling a little farther, you'll arrive in San Francisco de la Sierra with its impressive cave paintings--another area that has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Our team provides quality tourist services and warmly welcomes our visitors, national as well as foreign, to make their stay on the peninsula of Baja California both memorable and enjoyable.

We have more than 25 years of experience in providing tourist services, including tours for gray whale watching, peninsular pronghorn (Antilocapra americana peninsularis), indigenous paintings, and more. We are your best choice for seeing the natural beauty of the region.
